The successful candidate will work within our new nursery class; working closely with the class teachers to plan and deliver teaching activities and assessments, as well as prepare learning resources.  You will also be required to undertake other classroom duties to support the class teacher and be able to work co-operatively within a team.

The successful candidate will hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification and have experience of working with pre-school aged children.  We are looking for someone with the knowledge to develop the children’s learning, with the confidence and ability to be able to motivate and support the children within the classroom.  Our children would love to hear from you if you are friendly, kind and fun!

The working pattern for this role will be Monday – Friday, 8.45am-12.45pm.

We offer you the opportunity:

  • to be part of a team of friendly and hardworking staff and Governors
  • to work in an Ofsted rating “good” school and a forward thinking, well-resourced learning environment
  • to work in a happy environment where all children and staff are encouraged to thrive

In our school everyone is valued and has the support of a dedicated team of staff, parents and governors.  If you are interested in becoming a key member of our friendly team, then we would love to hear from you; either by a phone call for an informal chat on 01332 862325 or an email to headteacher@melbourne-inf.derbyshire.sch.uk. Visits to the schools are welcomed.
