Specialist Teaching and Learning Assistant

The Governors of Clowne Junior School are looking to appoint a Specialist Teaching and Learning Assistant to start in September 2025. 

We are looking for a nurturing and dedicated individual to work in our fantastic school.  We have hardworking children, engaged families and a team of staff who are welcoming, professional and supportive. 

The role involves working under the direction and guidance of class teachers to supervise and provide support for children with specific needs, which will enable them to learn independently and in group situations.  As well as general Teaching Assistant duties, the role will also involve supporting children over the lunch period.  Pupil needs will determine which year groups the roles will be allotted to. 

The successful candidate will be positive, flexible and able to respond to the needs of our children. They should have a good level of communication, English and Maths skills.  They should also have experience of working with primary age children.
