Alfreton Park School is a lively, successful special school for pupils aged 2 to 19 years, with severe and profound learning difficulties. The school has a strong commitment to child safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils and expects all staff and volunteers to respect this commitment.
We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, well-organised, enthusiastic, and skilled Site and Premises Manager to join our team in a job share arrangement with our current Site Manager. This is a vital role at the heart of our school community, ensuring that our site remains a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.
As a key member of our operational team, you will play a proactive role in the health, safety, and overall comfort of everyone on site. Your work will directly contribute to the smooth running of the school and the wellbeing of our community, making this a highly valued and rewarding position.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a strong sense of responsibility and takes pride in maintaining high standards of safety and presentation across the premises.
- Can work collaboratively and flexibly as part of a job share, communicating effectively with the existing Site & Premises Manager to ensure continuity and consistency.
- Possesses excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with staff, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Is IT literate and able to manage systems and documentation related to site management and compliance.
- Is proactive and capable of responding to day-to-day maintenance needs, as well as planning ahead for longer-term site improvements.
This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for the right candidate to use and develop their skills in a friendly, supportive, and forward-thinking school. If you are committed to creating a safe and comfortable learning environment and enjoy working as part of a team, we would love to hear from you.
