The Governors of Eyam CE Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, empathetic, fun, hardworking and motivated SEND Teaching and Learning Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated team from September 2025.

The post will involve supporting the learning of children with SEND needs both inside and outside the classroom.

We currently have a vacancy for 3 days a week Monday 9.00 - 11.30am and 1.00pm - 3.00pm (4 hours 30 minutes)

Tuesday 9.00am - 11.30am and 1.00pm - 3.00pm (4 hours 30 minutes)

Friday 9.00am - 11.30am and 1.00pm - 3.00pm (4 hours 30 minutes)

(We are also looking for a Midday Supervisor this role could be combined)

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a wide range of knowledge and experience of supporting children’s varied needs.
  • Is warm, friendly and aspirational, and is able to develop excellent relationships with children, families and colleagues.
  • Aims high in all aspects of school life for self and others.
  • Has a sense of humour and is fun, fully embracing all aspects of school life.
  • It would be desirable to have experience of running interventions in an educational setting, in particular at KS2.
