The Governors of Melbourne Infant School wish to appoint a friendly, helpful and enthusiastic relief Lunchtime Play Leader to join our team.
Our lunchtime period here at Melbourne Infants is an incredibly important part of every child’s school day; and with our Play Outdoors, Learn Outdoors (POLO) project there are always lots of different areas to explore, games to play and fun to be had!
Our Play Leaders play a vital role in ensuring our children feel safe, secure and happy during their lunchtimes. Duties will include supervising children aged 4 -7 whilst they eat their lunch in the hall and encourage children to play and initiate games outside. The hours of work are 11.55am – 1.05pm.
We are currently recruiting for relief Play Leaders to join our team as and when required. This is a relief post with no guaranteed hours: the successful candidate would work as and when required according to school needs and their own availability.
Ideally, candidates will have a background of working with children in a supervisory capacity – however training will be given. Attitude is much more important than experience. Our children would love to hear from you if you like to play games, and if you are friendly, kind and fun!
In our school everyone is valued and has the support of a dedicated team of staff, parents and governors. If you are interested in becoming a key member of our friendly team, then we would love to hear from you; either by a phone call for an informal chat on 01332 862325 or an email to headteacher@melbourne-inf.derbyshire.sch.uk.j
In line with our commitment to Safer Recruitment and Keeping Children Safe in Education, Melbourne Infant School reserves the right to research shortlisted candidates on social media platforms and the internet. The recruitment panel may take this information into consideration during the recruitment process.
Provisional Interview Date: Week commencing 4 November 2024
