The Governing Board of Grindleford Primary School invites applications for the role of Midday Supervisor

As part of our midday supervising team, you will be responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the lunchtime breaks, providing pastoral support to our delightful pupils.  You will be the first point of contact for our children and help to ensure that our school continues to provide a safe, nurturing environment which meets the varied needs of our pupils.

We are seeking a ‘people person’ who likes interaction with children but who can equally work independently and self-manage their work schedule which will include:

  • Ensuring that the playground and Dining Hall are safe and fun spaces
  • Provide effective and proactive adult support to the pupils whilst ensuring that their health and safety needs are met
  • Manage any playtime equipment to ensure that it is used safely and looked after
  • Encouraging the children to enjoy an active lunchtime and support them with their play
  • Ensure that the school rules are followed effectively and provide supportive adult help to resolve any issues between children

Most importantly, we are looking for a team player with a great sense of humour, a ‘can do attitude’ and a big warm coat!  It goes without saying that you must enjoy working with children.

If you would like further information, please don’t hesitate to make an informal enquiry to the headteacher via mrsgemmell@grindlefordprimaryschool.co.uk

Visits to look round and find out more are welcome by appointment.

Grindleford  Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
