We are looking to recruit a positive and friendly midday supervisor to join our team. As a midday supervisor at Highfields, you will assist and supervise students at lunchtime and encourage responsible and appropriate behaviour.  You should enjoy helping young people and be enthusiastic, patient and discreet as well as being able to work as part of a team.

Highfields is a vibrant and popular school with approximately 1300 students, including 200 in our sixth form.  Our students are friendly and highly motivated. We were judged as a good school by Ofsted in May 2017 and are committed to continuous improvement in all aspects of our work. We are at an exciting stage of our development and this is a great opportunity to make a strong contribution to the life of the school.

A job description and person specification with further information about the role and an application form can be downloaded from the Trust website www.emet.uk.com/vacancies. Applications must be made on an EMET application form. CVs will not be accepted. No agencies.

On the application form, please focus on a detailed 'supporting statement' taking into account the person specification and indicating why you would be the best person for us to recruit to this position.

Please do not apply using the Derbyshire County Council website.

Please send completed applications forms to recruitment@emet.uk.com

Please ensure your completed application form is returned no later than 12 noon on the Closing Date.

The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post, will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK. The School looks to employ well-qualified staff who are willing to contribute to the full life of the school and who are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Safeguarding checks will be undertaken during the recruitment process.

We welcome applications regardless of age, gender, ethnicity or religion.

Highfields is situated in Matlock, the county town of Derbyshire, on the south-eastern edge of the beautiful Peak District National Park. It is within easy reach of Sheffield, Derby and Nottingham.

Due to this post having access to children and/or vulnerable adults, the successful candidate will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post, as all cases are judged individually according to the nature of the role and information provided.
