The Governing board of Darley Churchtown CofE Primary School are looking for an experienced Teaching and Learning Assistant to join our small, friendly team for a fixed term period to cover maternity leave, starting in September 2022 or as soon as possible after this.

The successful candidate will provide support for high needs pupils in KS1, including those with GRIP and EHCP for ASD.

Our school is a small, welcoming and nurturing place with mixed age classes throughout. We are looking for a warm, nurturing person who is able to adapt the curriculum to suit pupils’ needs, be able to develop resources, provide interventions and liaise with parents.

The successful candidate will:

  • Demonstrate high expectations and standards for all children.
  • Have a strong empathy for children with additional emotional needs.
  • Engage positively with parents/carers and act as a liaison between school and parents/carers.
  • Be a good team player and be able to liaise well with other staff in the classroom.
  • Have a creative and exciting approach to childcare and play.
  • Be fully supportive of Darley Churchtown’s ethos.
  • Fully adopt and adhere to Darley Churchtown’s policies.
