Outwood Academy Hasland Hall is based in the historic market town of Chesterfield. We are a welcoming and supportive academy, with a relentless determination to provide the very best education for every child. We place students at the centre of everything we do, with a focus on creating a supportive culture of success and a positive climate for learning. OA Hasland Hall joined the Outwood Grange Academies Trust (OGAT) in 2021 and as a member of the Outwood Family we believe in putting Students First, raising standards and transforming lives.

The SEND Officer role requires the ability to work on your own initiative and to lead by example, you will also be required to have a good understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and Looked After Children guidance.

Experience of working with students with SEND is essential, as is the ability to produce strategies and interventions to assist our more vulnerable students in achieving their full potential. You will have the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of audiences and promote the safeguarding and care of students across the whole community, along with the skills and knowledge to facilitate small group work with students using agreed academy procedures for marking and assessment of the students' work. We believe that all teaching and support staff posts within our Family of Schools are key posts in terms of supporting student success and achievement across a broad range of subjects and experiences.
