Do you like variety, young people and working as part of a fantastic team? If the answer is yes then this newly-created role might be for you.
We are seeking a strong individual to act as the lead first aider within the academy. This will involve being the first responder to emergency first aid calls as well as dealing with students with more minor ailments.
Part of the role will be the management of first aid reporting, administration of authorised medication to students and ensuring first aid supplies across the school are fully stocked.
In addition the role will offer reception and administrative support as part of a four-person team, particularly at the start and end of each day as well as having other specific administrative responsibilities.
You will have previous first aid and administrative experience, however a current first aid qualification is not necessary as we can offer refresher training.
To be successful in the role you must like working with young people and be able to communicate with them effectively. You must be comfortable working in a team and be prepared to deal with the unexpected.
You will need to demonstrate a commitment to health and safety and be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check. As the role will require you to move quickly around the site you must be physically able to fulfil this.
The role is offered on a term time only basis and the hours will be 8.00 am – 4.00 pm each day.
