Outwood Academy Hasland Hall joined the Outwood Grange Academies Trust in 2021. As a member of the Outwood Family we believe in putting Students First, raising standards and transforming lives. Our focus is placed on creating a culture of success, a positive climate for learning, and increasing student attainment, along with achievement and social and emotional development.

Outwood Academies Trust are seeking to attract candidates to work as part of our attendance team. You will need to be hard working, determined and resilient. Initiative and innovation are the key elements of success in terms of the communities we work with. We strive every day to support and help families overcome the barriers that may exist which prevent their children from attending school regularly. The challenges are significant but the rewards are high. We have a first-class team of attendance specialists who will support the successful applicant, providing advice and guidance where it may be needed. Above all, you will be part of the team that shares in success and recognises the impact of individual contributions.

The overall purpose of the Education Welfare Officer is to lead the academy attendance team in providing operational and administrative support to promote whole school attendance strategies. Furthermore, you must be proactive, enthusiastic and have great interpersonal skills, in order to support parents/carers to improve their children’s attendance. Your role will thereby aid students in their ability to access to learning, enabling all children and young people to maximise their educational opportunities.
