Come and be at the heart of transforming the town of Ashbourne and delivering a multi-million pound investment.

We have secured £15.2 million from our Levelling Up Fund bid.  “Ashbourne Reborn”, led by Derbyshire Dales District Council and developed with local partners, is a two-year programme with three capital regeneration projects.  The proposals enjoy widespread support from the community and you will need to share their ambition for change.

The first project will regenerate public spaces in the town centre, while the second focuses on transforming a church into a multi-purpose community hub.  We will enhance the pedestrian experience in Ashbourne by widening footways and providing new and improved crossings as our third project.

You will lead, provide overall management and effectively implement the LUF programme, including servicing the Board and Executive, strategic risk management, claims, monitoring, evaluation, governance, assurance and financial management.  The role will co-ordinate a complex, high valued programme delivered by partners on behalf of the accountable body, Derbyshire Dales District Council.

Stakeholder engagement and communication will be key to succeeding in this role, because the projects within the LUF programme involve multiple partners, are in public space and are of importance to the local Ashbourne community as well as to the District Council.

So if you are an experienced programme manager, accustomed to delivering simultaneous projects with multiple stakeholders and complex dependencies, and if you can show how your skills have ensured the delivery of physical regeneration projects, then we want to hear from you.

You will benefit from agile working, a relocation package, a great pension scheme, active leisure facilities, free car parking, and being part of an excellent ‘can-do’ council with the community at its heart.  Plus you’ll work in the beautiful Derbyshire Dales with fantastic market towns, villages and countryside – all on the doorstep of Sheffield, Manchester, Nottingham and Derby.

The closing date for completed applications is Sunday 26 February 2023 with interviews taking place during weeks commencing 6 March and 13 March 2023.
