We’re seeking a proactive and imaginative Countryside Assistant Manager to lead on the planning and delivery of key countryside projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on variety, enjoys working across teams and partnerships, and is passionate about making a tangible difference to our natural spaces.

Why this role stands out:
- You’ll lead and deliver innovative countryside projects that support climate, wellbeing, and conservation goals.
- You’ll work closely with the enterprise team and external partners to unlock funding and deliver shared objectives.
- You’ll help shape the future of Derbyshire’s countryside through strategic planning and hands-on delivery.
- You’ll be part of a passionate, forward-thinking team that values creativity, accountability, and community impact.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has strong experience in countryside or land management, with a proven track record in project delivery.
- Can manage budgets, write funding applications, and coordinate contractors and consultants.
- Builds strong partnerships across sectors and communicates effectively with stakeholders.
- Is passionate about nature, heritage, and delivering results that benefit people and place.
If you’re ready to step up, stand out, and help shape the future of Derbyshire’s countryside we want to hear from you.
