There is an exciting opportunity to join the Waste and Recycling Unit in Amber Valley.
We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate with relevant experience working in the waste industry to join our team as Principal Waste and Recycling Officer. The successful candidate will help ensure key performance indicators are met for the waste collection service. This will involve helping the team monitor the waste service provider.
We will also consider applications from interested candidates who may not have yet acquired the relevant skills, knowledge and experience but are prepared to work towards achieving these. The successful candidate in this instance would be appointed on Grade 6 and would progress to Grade 7 subject to achieving the professional requirements for this role.
To apply for this role, you must be diplomatic with the ability to communicate well and resolve complaints. You will possess excellent IT skills and be able to manage your time effectively using initiative to solve problems in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
The post reports directly to the Waste & Recycling Manager and helps support them to develop a sustainable waste service.
