Professional Advisor – Fostering and Adoption – part time job share

Providing Agency Advice to the Fostering Panels, it is essential that you will have a good understanding of all relevant Fostering and childcare legislation and regulations as well as the Agency’s policies, procedures and practice. Effective communication and negotiation skills and an attention to detail are required in the role as responsibilities will include liaison with the agency, Agency Decision Maker, Chair and the Panels as well as on-going liaison with and feedback to relevant social work teams, and Panel Business support to ensure that an efficient and quality assured service is provided. _

You will be an experienced chair and Chair quality assurance meetings and subsequently provide advice to the Agency Decision maker regarding proposed care plans of adoption

You will also Chair professionals meetings when foster carers express a wish to offer adoption to a child in their care

 Ensure that panels are organised and quorate working closely and collaboratively with the panel administrators and the service

Responsible for the recruitment, and appraisal of panel members and arrange relevant development and training
