We are excited to announce new and enhanced payment packages for the following grades which reflects our commitment to attracting and retaining top talent, ensuring our pay is rewarding and competitive:

  • Grade 9 - £35,963 pro rata made up of:
    • Basic salary per annum: £31,963 pro-rata
    • Market supplement payment per annum: £4,000 pro rata
  • Grade 10 - £36,034 - £39,239 pro rata made up of:
    • Basic salary per annum: £33,034 - £36,239 pro rata
    • Market supplement payment per annum: £3,000 pro rata
  • Grade 11 - £39,339 - £42,638 pro rata made up of:
    • Basic salary per annum: £37,339 - £40,638 pro rata
    • Market supplement payment per annum: £2,000 pro rata

As a Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in assessing requests for intervention and determining the appropriate support needed. The work environment is fast-paced, requiring confident decision-making and effective teamwork.   • Provide high-quality social work services that empower individuals and communities to realize their potential.
  • Efficiently manage a caseload to ensure optimal outcomes for individuals, groups, and communities.
  • Foster partnerships and maintain strong relationships with individuals, identifying their needs and developing appropriate plans and responses.


  • BA Honours in Social Work and current registration with Social Work England (refer to job and person profile for detailed information).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a person-centred approach to building rapport and relationships with children and families.
  • Reflective practice and development capabilities, enabling flexible and thoughtful social work interventions.

These roles also attract a market supplement.  This is a separate payment made in addition to the normal salary as detailed below.  All market supplement payments are reviewed 6 months prior to their proposed end date to determine whether the supplement should continue.
