An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Out of Hours Team for a permanent part time Social Work position.  We are really proud of the Out of Hours service provided, the team undertake home visits around the county and also work closely with partner agencies such as police and health colleagues.  If you are ready for an exciting new challenge or change in career path this could be a brilliant opportunity, especially if you are interested in working Out of Hours.

The Service works closely with the locality teams to provide 24 hour Social Work provision to achieve good outcomes for children, therefore there is scoop within the role for wider development opportunities within the authority.

The successful candidates would be expected to work on shift with the Out of Hours team based at County Hall, Matlock.

Hours will be a combination of 4.30pm - 12.30am Monday-Friday

Saturday – Sunday and Bank holidays can be a combination of hours to enable the service to cover from 09:00 – 00:30 There is also opportunity to work 12 hour shifts at weekends.

As well as 9.00am - 5.00pm, 4.30pm – 12.30am Saturday or Sunday - Subject to the  rota.

The Social Workers also cover the On-call from home from 12.30am - 9am each day which is also covered via a shift pattern

Due to the nature of the shifts, pay enhancements are provided for hours worked after 7pm and also for shifts worker on bank holidays

The job may require unsocial hours working including weekends and Bank Holidays. Payment arrangements will be detailed in any contract offer made.

Saturday and Sunday hours will be paid at plain time where it is part of your normal working pattern unless it is between 7pm and 7am, where enhanced rates of pay apply. Enhanced pay rates are paid for Bank Holiday working.
