We are happy to offer an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated Commissioning team committed to improving outcomes for children, young people, and their families across Derbyshire.
The Commissioning Team works collaboratively across Children’s Services to design, procure, and monitor high-quality services. We are focused on ensuring that services are effective, deliver value for money, and meet the evolving needs of our communities.
We are seeking a dynamic, innovative, and motivated Placement Commissioning Officer to play a key role in this work. This is a fixed term position to cover maternity leave for up to 12 months.
In this role, you will support the planning, commissioning, and continuous improvement of services by working closely with a wide range of stakeholders, including colleagues across the Local Authority, external providers, and partner organisations.
You will contribute to securing safe, high quality, and cost effective homes and services for children and young people, helping to ensure they receive the right care and support at the right time.
This role will provide a great opportunity to collaborate with services and partners across Children’s Services, the wider Council, and external organisations, and to make a meaningful difference to the lives of children and families.
