An exciting opportunity has arisen within Children’s Services for a dedicated and proactive individual to support families facing complex and challenging circumstances.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality support to children, young people, and families, promoting personal, social, and educational development.
- Identify and support vulnerable children to achieve safety, stability, and long-term positive outcomes.
- Motivate and empower families to engage in change, including managing challenging behaviours.
- Undertake the preparation and presentation of comprehensive reports to present to court, drawing on complex information and analysis to inform recommendations and decision‑making.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience working with children, young people, and families facing emotional or practical difficulties.
- Strong report writing skills, including court documentation.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and provide guidance to partner agencies.
- Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Sound understanding of safeguarding procedures.
- Proficient in IT systems and tools.
