Derbyshire County Council is committed to providing Early Help Services to the most vulnerable children. Our Children's Services work hard to ensure that our employees have the time and the resources they need to deliver good outcomes for children and families. Our vision means working creatively to inspire our children, young people and their families to be the best that they can be.

The Parenting Assessment and Family Time (PAFT) team was established in 2019 following a review of the service. The successful candidates will deliver high quality family time for children/young people and their families. Family time is a service for children whom are not able to reside currently with their parents/carers and are in receipt of social care intervention and support. Sessions are an opportunity for parents/carers to come together and spend good quality positive time together under the supervision of an Assistant Early Help Practitioner.

The Erewash PAFT team have 3 posts available:

  • Post 1: 37.00 hours per week
  • Post 2: 29.6 hours per week
  • Post 3: 22.00 hours per week

A mileage allowance is attached to this post, but it is possible for the allowance to be converted to other forms of transport where there is a requirement to undertake travel as part of this post.

You must be proficient with IT systems. Please refer to the job description for full details of the role.

Provisional Interview Date: Week commencing 5 September 2022

Due to this post having access to children and/or vulnerable adults, the successful candidate will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post, as all cases are judged individually according to the nature of the role and information provided.
