Peri‑Peripatetic Catering Supervisor – Hope Valley, Bakewell, High Peak & Glossop
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the award‑winning Derbyshire Catering Service, where we are proud to provide healthy, nutritious meals that make a real difference to children’s school days.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated catering professional to lead kitchen teams across the Hope Valley, Bakewell, High Peak and Glossop areas. This is a varied and rewarding role that combines hands‑on catering with leadership, organisation and a passion for excellent service.
About the role
As a Peri‑Peripatetic Catering Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day‑to‑day management of school kitchens, including:
- Preparation, cooking and service of high‑quality meals
- Leading and supporting kitchen teams across multiple sites
- Ensuring full compliance with food hygiene and health & safety standards
- Completing clerical duties using a digital catering management system
The safety, wellbeing and enjoyment of our customers is our priority. You will play a key role in creating positive lunchtime experiences and must be able to demonstrate an attitude that is appropriate and professional within a school environment.
What you’ll need
- Full UK driving licence and daily access to a car (essential)
- NVQ Level 2 in Catering & Hospitality or relevant equivalent experience
- Sound knowledge of Health & Safety procedures
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2
- Organisational and communication skills
