Exciting Opportunity: Catering Supervisor at Peak Lodge, Chinley Residential Children’s Home

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the award-winning Derbyshire Catering Service as a Catering Supervisor at Peak Lodge, Chinley Residential Children’s Home.

As a Catering Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading kitchen teams and managing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including preparation, cooking, and service. You will also handle clerical duties via a digital management system. Ensuring the health and safety of our young people is a priority, and all staff must adhere to food hygiene and health & safety regulations. We aim to create positive tea time experiences for our young people, so it is essential that you bring a suitable attitude to the residential environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • A full driving licence and daily access to a car are essential due to the nature of the role.
  • Ideally, you will hold an NVQ Level 2 in Catering and Hospitality or have relevant experience with a strong knowledge of Health & Safety.
  • Possession of a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 is required.

The job may require unsocial hours working including weekends and Bank Holidays. Payment arrangements will be detailed in any contract offer made.

Saturday and Sunday hours will be paid at plain time where it is part of your normal working pattern unless it is between 7pm and 7am, where enhanced rates of pay apply. Enhanced pay rates are paid for Bank Holiday working.
