Kimberley Primary School is a friendly school which educates children from the ages of 3 to 11. We have a relatively new building and a recently refurbished kitchen to cater for our growing number of pupils. The governors are looking to appoint a highly motivated, hardworking and friendly person to work in the school kitchen.
The successful candidate will be supported regularly by EMET's Catering Manager and daily by the Head Cook within the kitchen. Key to the role will be the responsibility for the supervision and smooth running of the kitchen on a day-to-day basis, including hygiene, training of staff and all operations including the cooking, preparation and serving of meals. In order to do this, they will need to enjoy working in a busy environment and be willing to undergo any training required. The role will also involve deputising for the Head Cook in their absence.
The starting date for the position is Monday 6th November 2023, however, it is possible for the successful applicant to start earlier if they are available to do so.
We would love to show you our school, so visits are welcome from interested candidates. Please contact the school office on 0115 9385050 if you would like to arrange a visit.
Further information about our school can be found on our website www.kimberleyprimary.org.uk

On the application form, please focus on a detailed 'supporting statement' taking into account the person specification and indicating why you would be the best person for us to recruit to this position.
The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post, and must be eligible to work in the UK. The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Safeguarding checks will be undertaken during the recruitment process and this may include online searches.
Provisional Interview Date : 29 September 2023
Due to this post having access to children and/or vulnerable adults, the successful candidate will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
