Abercrombie Primary and Nursery School is based in the centre of Chesterfield and caters for children from aged 3 to 11 years.

This is a pivotal role for the right candidate to help support and enhance our learning environment ensuring a high quality of hygiene and safety is maintained. 

We are looking for a friendly, hardworking and reliable individual who will:

• Undertake general caretaking and maintenance duties, e.g. changing lightbulbs, making repairs/improvements to school property, fixtures and fittings;
• Ensure internal and external areas remain clean, tidy and safe;
• Advise and collaborate with the headteacher/business manager to develop and improve internal and external areas of the school site;
• Ensure stock levels are maintained on items such as cleaning products, lightbulbs and paints;
• Undertake statutory health and safety checks and maintain all relevant records.

• Have good teamwork skills
• Be genuinely warm-hearted and contribute positively to the ethos of the schools.
