Our very effective and supportive Governing body are seeking to appoint a hardworking Cleaner, who takes pride in their work and will be committed to ensuring the school learning environment is a clean, safe and tidy. The successful candidate will work closely with the caretaker and other cleaners.
We are looking for a friendly and team-oriented person who should be approachable, able to work well with others, able to work independently and have a positive attitude.
Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential. We are looking for candidates with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Working hours are 6 hours and 15 minutes per week, 1 hour and 15minutes per day working Mon-Friday during term time only, following Derbyshire term dates. We can be flexible when the hours are worked each day, either 7-8:15am, 4-5:15pm or 4:30-5:45pm each day. There may be opportunities for additional hours in relation to certain tasks but these will be in agreement between school and the successful candidate and are not compulsory nor can they be guaranteed
The contract is to begin week beginning Monday 6th January but could begin earlier than this subject to relevant checks being completed and references being received for the successful candidate.
Duties will include the whole range of cleaning tasks, e.g. dusting, wiping, mopping, buffering and hoovering and will include cleaning toilets and potential bodily fluids. Please see the job description and person specification for the full requirements of the post.
