We have an exciting opportunity for an Early Help Practitioner position based within Swadlincote and covering South Derbyshire and Dales.

The successful applicants will undertake work with children and families, undertaking assessments of the whole family and individuals in terms of assessing risk and providing an appropriate service.  There is a requirement of excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage young people and families, also in the delivery of programmes.

The role includes assisting the Early Help Senior Practitioner in the efficient and effective delivery of Children’s Services.  Demonstrating and championing evidence-based practice and embedding Derbyshire’s operating model into all early help practice in order to improve outcomes for children, young people and families. Derbyshire County Council is committed to providing Early Help services to the most vulnerable children to prevent risk of harm or breakdown in their family situation.

Due to this post having administrative privileges within the Council’s IT systems, and in order to comply with the Public Services Network requirements, the successful candidate will be required to undertake a Basic criminal record check.
