Bolsover District Council is a dynamic and ambitious organisation that takes pride in delivering excellent services to our community whilst driving economic growth and environmental sustainability for the district.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Community Safety and Enforcement Team as an Anti-Social Behaviour Officer.   The successful applicant will be required to deal with cases of Anti-Social Behaviour working alongside internal and external partners including Housing, Community Safety, Community Enforcement Rangers and the police.

Responsibilities of the role include dealing with victims, witnesses and perpetrators of Anti-Social Behaviour, evidence gathering, statement taking and investigation. Where necessary and appropriate the ASB Officer will carry out enforcement activities which may include the issuing of warnings, notices, fixed penalty notices and progressing prosecutions to and attending court.

To be successful you will need:

  • To be able to demonstrate an understanding of what Anti-Social Behaviour is and its effects on victims and communities.
  • A good standard of literacy and computer/typing skills to enable the keeping of accurate records, report and statement writing.
  • Strong communication skills including face to face, telephone and written correspondence with the ability to communicate with colleagues, other agencies and members of the public in sometimes difficult and challenging circumstances.
  • The ability to manage and prioritise a workload, recognising and understand risks of harm.
