Social Worker Role
High Peak South Adult Social Work Team are looking to recruit a permanent full time Social Worker 37 hours per week Grade 9-11.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a long-term team, which is made up of the Manager, Senior Practitioner, Social Workers, and Social Care Practitioners.
The post is in a generic adult’s team, working with clients from the age of 18 upwards with long term support needs. You will require working knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and MCA (Mental Capacity Act) 2005, as you will be working with and assessing clients care needs and working alongside their support networks to create support plans.
Using person centred, strengths-based approaches you will be supporting clients to lead fulfilling lives at home and in their local community and supported accommodation. You will also be reviewing long term cases to ensure people are meeting their outcomes.
The work is varied as we support clients with physical and learning disabilities, including younger clients who are preparing for adulthood.
As a Social Worker in the team, you will be supported with regular supervision and have access to peer group discussions to support you in your support planning.
Safeguarding is a regular part of the role, and experience in this area is preferred.
You will be able to work flexibly, and team members can be office based or a mixture of home and office working. The nominated base would be Kents Bank Area Office in Buxton and you would be covering the South of the High Peak area.

The job may require unsocial hours working including weekends and Bank Holidays. Payment arrangements will be detailed in any contract offer made.
Saturday and Sunday hours will be paid at plain time where it is part of your normal working pattern unless it is between 7pm and 7am, where enhanced rates of pay apply. Enhanced pay rates are paid for Bank Holiday working.
