Salary details
Grade 9 -11 £30,054 - £40,638 pro rata. This role is eligible for a one-off Welcome Payment if starting 1st Jan to 31st Dec 2024. Adult SW will receive £1500 pro rata, and AMHP SW will receive £2500 pro rata in their first salary payment.

We are looking to recruit highly motivated and enthusiastic Social Worker to work within the Amber Valley East Adult Social Work Team.

Our team works with adults with a range of disabilities and includes older adults, learning disabilities, physical disabilities and mental ill health. You will need to be able to manage change and have the ability to maintain positive relationships with both our health partners and other agencies.

The successful candidates will take a Strengths- based approach to assessing care and support needs under the Care Act 2014, provide information and advice, undertake person centred support planning, assess risk and provide professional social work support. The post-holder will work in partnership with colleagues from other agencies, this will be integral to the investigation of safeguarding concerns.

The work is fast paced so the ability to manage a busy case load effectively is essential.

Due to this post having access to children and/or vulnerable adults, the successful candidate will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post, as all cases are judged individually according to the nature of the role and information provided. SW Grade 9-11 - An initial one off lump sum ‘Welcome payment’ of £1500 (pro-rata) is attached to this post, payable in your first salary.
