This is a rolling job advert for Qualified Social Workers to apply for the flexible relief pool for Adult Care. This advert can also be used to apply for the Out of Hours team for those colleagues already on temporary contracts.
The flexible relief pool is interested to recruit Derbyshire Social Workers who may be interested at the point of retirement or leaving Derbyshire County Council to continue to work for the department on an as and when basis. As the Department looks to offer temporary contracts to support various aspects of the Adult Care Provision within fieldwork and hospital teams when there are periods of high demand.
Colleagues who are interested in the role and successful at interview will be offered a flexible contract. At times of increased service demand colleagues will be contacted and offered periods of employment within various teams across the department. Line management support and supervision would be offered by the leadership team within those specified teams.
The job may require unsocial hours working including weekends and Bank Holidays. Payment arrangements will be detailed in any contract offer made.

Saturday and Sunday hours will be paid at plain time where it is part of your normal working pattern unless it is between 7pm and 7am, where enhanced rates of pay apply. Enhanced pay rates are paid for Bank Holiday working.
