There is an exciting opportunity to join the Adult Safeguarding Quality Assurance and Development Team as a part-time Service Manager (fixed term until 31st May 2023). Our Team works in close partnership with safeguarding leads in external agencies, including the PVI sector and works collaboratively with the Derbyshire Safeguarding Adults Board (DSAB).
As a Service Manager you will be responsible to coordinate PIPOT, undertake research and development work and be actively involved in quality assurance work with Adult Social Care and Health. You will be a registered social worker with leadership and change management experience. Excellent networking and communication skills are essential.
You will have significant experience of adult safeguarding, promote best practice and work in partnership with external organisations such as the Private and Voluntary sector, Health, Police, Fire Service, Ambulance service, and Derbyshire Safeguarding Adults Board. You will produce management reports, chair meetings, support the development of policy and practice guidance and represent Adult Social Care at sub-group meetings with DSAB.
The successful candidate will be able to work autonomously and flexibly. You will have a working knowledge of Safeguarding, the Care Act 2014, and the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
The successful candidate will be offered regular management supervision and you will be able to attend the monthly Community of Practice sessions with the Principal Social Worker where you will be supported to achieve and promote best practice.
The team covers Derbyshire and under Derbyshire County Council’s Modern Ways of Working there will be a mixture of home and office-based working.
