Senior Practitioner
Chesterfield Mental Health Prevention & Personalisation Team
There is an exciting opportunity to join the Chesterfield Mental Health Prevention & Personalisation Team.
Reporting to the Service Manager, your role will be to supervise social care staff and lead on professional practice. You will be involved with the day to day running of the team. You will support Adult Social Care colleagues both within the local team and on a countywide level including the identification of training and development needs through Peer Supervision.
As a Senior Practitioner you will lead by example and ensure that Social Workers and AMHPS’s deliver high quality statutory social care services to adults over the age of 18 and young people in transition from Children’s Services. You will be actively involved in complex case management and court work. You will be a qualified Approved Mental Health Professional and participate on the AMHP duty rota. You will offer support, advice and professional supervision to all members of the team. You will produce management reports, chair meetings, and deputise for the Service Manager when required.
The successful candidate will be able to work autonomously and will have excellent knowledge of Safeguarding, the Mental Health Act 1983, the Care Act 2014, and the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
The team covers Chesterfield and Killamarsh.
