Could you be the difference-maker in someone's life by providing short-term care and support?

Derbyshire County Council is seeking dedicated Care Worker (Community) individuals to join our team, serving local communities and assisting individuals in regaining their independence after experiencing health setbacks. • Understand the importance of treating individuals with dignity and respect
  • Are capable of placing the individual at the core of their care
  • Possess creativity and forward-thinking qualities

Benefits:

Working in the field of care can be demanding at times, but it is profoundly rewarding. As an employee of Derbyshire County Council, you'll enjoy a range of benefits, including:

  • A generous local government pension scheme
  • Participation in the cycle-to-work scheme
  • Discounts at selected county leisure centres
  • Access to the Derbyshire Rewards Scheme, offering discounts on everyday spending
  • Availability of physiotherapy, mental health, and other well-being services
  • And much more!

We have openings in multiple areas across Amber Valley. Daily shifts are 6 hours worked on a rotating schedule, and we have available part-time contracts of either 18, 24, or 30 hours per week, with opportunities for additional hours if desired. Please note that this role involves travel across a significant geographical area, so a full driving license and access to a vehicle are essential.
