Dragonfly Management (Bolsover) Limited, a wholly owned company of Bolsover District Council, is seeking a Senior Economic Development Officer to lead initiatives and projects for the comprehensive development of Pleasley Vale.

The team, and wider organisation are going through an exciting period of change, and we are seeking an innovative and passionate individual who wants to make a change to the built and natural environment through project delivery within a conservation area.

The post holder will be required to work as part of a team who are tasked with driving forward ambitious and challenging initiatives.  The post holder will be tasked with championing the development opportunities, build and maintain effective working relationships, and commission studies and surveys to support to development of the masterplans for the site.

This is an exciting opportunity to help us build a strong foundation for the successful delivery of our ambitious regeneration programme for Pleasley Vale Mills.

To be successful you will need:

  • Degree-level education or equivalent knowledge of local, regional, and national heritage, conservation, and planning strategies.
  • Proven experience in running regeneration projects, including managing third-party contractors.
  • Track record in developing business cases, funding submissions, and monitoring externally funded initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
