If the answer is YES then this is the job that you have been waiting for!! At Park Schools Federation we have been supporting Apprentice Teaching Assistants for 12 years. Apprentice Teaching Assistant roles within the school have historically led to staff developing even further. Staff who have previously completed the apprentice training programme and we were fortunate enough to be able to employ them have gone onto becoming the following:
- 1 Qualified Teacher with a teaching and learning responsibility and a member of the Middle Management Team,
- 2 Qualified Teachers
- 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistants
- 5 Teaching Assistants and 9 current Teaching Apprentices. This proves that the qualification can be used to launch careers within the schools and further beyond
To be considered for this position, you'll have a good standard of education including a minimum of English, IT and maths at GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent qualification).
Also you will need:
A genuine interest in working with children
An understanding of the principles of Equal Opportunities and the importance of confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information
Good communication and team working skills
The ability to use your initiative when necessar
