Join Our Payroll Administration Team at Derbyshire County Council!
We’re offering an exciting opportunity to be part of our busy HR Services team, providing essential payroll and recruitment support to the Council’s managers, employees, pensioners, schools, academies, and external clients.
As a Payroll Administrator, you'll play a key role in managing the entire HR and payroll lifecycle, including creating, maintaining, and closing payroll records, issuing contracts, and handling contract variations. You’ll ensure high-quality service delivery while resolving day-to-day customer enquiries and supporting continuous service improvement.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong organisational, administrative, and communication skills with attention to detail.
- A commitment to excellent customer service and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
- Desire to seek continuous process improvement
- Payroll experience and SAP payroll knowledge are desirable but not essential.
- Minimum of 4 GCSEs (7-4) or equivalent.
