An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Business Services Team for committed and flexible individuals to provide efficient and effective administrative support. We have a centralised support function to deliver efficient, consistent processes and collaborative working across the council.
You will be joining a friendly team of experienced Business Services Assistants. This is a fast-paced, varied role where you’ll need strong organisational skills, adaptability, and the ability to meet deadlines in a changing environment. If you’re a team player with a can-do attitude and enjoy finding solutions, we’d like to hear from you.
While the role provides flexibility, you are required to attend the office for a minimum of four days per week. Weekly arrangements may vary, and flexibility to work in the office when required is essential. The team is based at The Quad, Chesterfield
The working pattern for this role will be 18.5 hours worked over either
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning, or Wednesday afternoon, Thursday & Friday.
What you’ll be doing
- Gathering and Inputting information onto a bespoke client database
- Supporting operational staff
- Taking calls on the professional advice line and signposting
- Working alongside a dedicated team of professionals supporting the front-door services for Adult Services

- Have experience in a busy, customer-focused admin environment
- Be organised and able to prioritise workloads effectively
- Have strong communication and ICT skills
- Understand confidentiality and GDPR requirements
- Work well across teams and use initiative to solve problems
