An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Business Services Team for a committed and flexible individual to provide efficient and effective administrative support to the CIC Panel

18.5 hours per week. The working pattern is Mon/Tues 9:00-15:00 (6 hours each day) and Thursday 9:00-16:00 (6 ½ hours). The office base is Matlock and there will be a requirement to work in the office one day per week.

Working as part of a team who support the smooth running of Foster Panels and Quality Assurance Discussions (QAD).  You will be joining a small team who working within Business Services Fostering support and link in with the wider Business Services Fostering team.

What will I be doing:

  • Manage diary for panel case bookings and set dates for the year in advance
  • Creating agendas, distribution of paperwork in preparation for panels
  • Ensure continued quoracy and membership of panel
  • General administration tasks around pre and post panel.
  • Preparation of QAD templates
  • Preparation of letters to birth parents
  • Coordinate private fostering process, to support the social work team and manager.
  • Support the Fostering service with completion of requisitions and goods receipting invoices.
  • Supporting the wider Business Services Fostering team

Skills and Experience we are looking for:

  • Excellent IT skills, which includes the use of Microsoft packages.
  • An ability to work as part of a team undertaking a wide range of administrative duties.
  • Experience of working in a busy office environment.
  • Good communication skills both written and oral.
  • Good organisational
  • An ability to prioritise and work to deadlines.
  • An ability to interpret information and analyse data.
  • An ability to work within organisational policies and procedures.
  • An understanding of confidentiality, GDPR and Data Protection.
  • NVQ Level 2 qualification or relevant office experience.
  • Enthusiasm and transferable skills
  • Minute/note taking experience
  • Previous financial experience would be beneficial
