We have an exciting opportunity within the Business Services Team for a committed and flexible individual to provide efficient and effective administrative support to the Youth Justice Service.
You will be joining a friendly team of experienced Business Services Assistants. The role is varied, fast-paced and the ability to work as part of a team and meet deadlines is essential.
The vacancy is 18 hours 30 minutes per week (Monday & Tuesday 9.00am to 5.00pm and Wednesday afternoon 1.30pm to 5.00pm) based at The Quad, Dock Walk, Chesterfield.
There is an expectation that you may be required to cover other offices at times due to service needs.
What will I be doing:
- Deal with day-to-day enquiries and communications resolving issues and escalating to the appropriate level where necessary.
- Co-ordinating routine arrangements and bookings, provide support, including attendance at Youth Justice Panel meetings, including minute taking and associated tasks.
- Co-ordinate court listings, court results and out of court disposals.
- Liaison with volunteers and victims.
- Be responsible for collating and entering data into specialist systems.
- Provide an effective professional administrative support service to the Youth Justice Service and functions in accordance with a range of business procedures and processes, ensuring quality service standards are maintained.
Skills and Experience we are looking for:
- Excellent IT skills, which includes the use of Microsoft packages.
- An ability to work as part of a team undertaking a wide range of administrative duties.
- Experience of working in a busy office environment.
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
- Excellent organisational skills and an ability to prioritise and work to deadlines.
- An ability to interpret information and analyse data.
- Assist and support with streamlining processes and implementation
- An understanding of confidentiality, GDPR and Data Protection.
- Previous financial experience would be beneficial.
- NVQ Level 2 qualification or relevant office experience.
- Enthusiasm and transferable skills
