Tansley Primary School is a fully inclusive village school.  We have very high expectations for all pupils and there is an ethos of care and support for everyone.  If you would like to be part of a friendly, welcoming school community we would love to hear from you.

An excellent opportunity has arisen to become a part of our school team.   The role of the School Business Officer is to provide an efficient and effective financial, administrative, and clerical support service for the Head Teacher and staff of the school. The role job will also include the Clerk to Governors role within the post.  There will also be additional hours 6 evenings across the year to attend and take the minutes for the Governor meetings.  This is an essential part of the role and will be paid as extra.

We are seeking to appoint an experienced, conscientious, and self-motivated individual, who works well as a member of a team and who preferably has experience of working in a busy school office.  The role requires a good working knowledge of SIMs, Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Forms etc.  Excellent literacy and numeracy skills are essential.  The successful candidate will have the ability to multi-task and maintain focus despite the frequent disturbances common in a school.  They will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills whilst being professional and approachable.

The role of Clerk to Governors is a key role to provide effective and efficient governance to the governing body which require close working with the Headteacher, Chair of Governors and Board of Governors.

The position is open to candidates who have evidence of continuing and relevant professional development.

We believe this is an excellent opportunity so we would encourage you to visit our school.

Please call 01629582448 or email info@tansley.derbyshire.sch.uk to arrange an appointment or to ask about an aspect of the role.  We look forward to receiving your application.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Wellbeing of the whole school community is a priority with inclusion being at the heart of our school.  We are committed to building excellent relationships with children, parents and staff.

Due to this post having access to children and/or vulnerable adults, the successful candidate will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post, as all cases are judged individually according to the nature of the role and information provided.
