Whittington Green School Governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, competent and dedicated School Business Manager to join our Senior Leadership Team.
As School Business Manager, you will hold a key post of responsibility within the school. Reporting directly to the Headteacher, you will be responsible for ensuring non-teaching aspects of the school run efficiently and effectively. You will also have line-management responsibility for the administration and site staff.
Your core responsibilities will be:
• to lead with the Headteacher on finance, human resources, health and safety, premises management, whole-school administration, and marketing
• the promotion of the school aims, objectives and ethos
• assisting in the monitoring and evaluation of performance and processes
• ensuring specific day-to-day functions of the school run smoothly
• establishing good working relationships with all stakeholders and external agencies
• sound experience of financial management, budgetary planning and control and Health and Safety
• an excellent working knowledge of ICT systems; including FMS and preferably a knowledge of Arbor software
This role is integral to our school and the right candidate will have experience in a similar role and ideally have attained a School Business Management or accountancy qualification.
The role requires you to be a highly organised, motivated and enthusiastic individual with a keen interest in making a difference to the school’s outcomes. You should be able to use your initiative, have a relentless drive for excellence, work flexibly, with integrity and under pressure. Attention to detail and being process driven will be essential to being successful in this role.
