We are looking to appoint a friendly, professional and efficient administrator with the necessary IT skills for the post of School Business Assistant (Clerk to Governors) to support the work of our governing body. The role is for an average of 2 hours 30 minutes per week to be worked flexibly around the governors’ meeting schedule. This includes attending evening meetings.

The successful person will need to be organised, confidential and proficient in computing skills and minuting meetings. You will need to have a commitment to promoting our school and be able to meet deadlines and manage information. Confidentiality is essential. Knowledge of how schools and governing bodies operate would be an advantage along with previous experience of similar work.

Work will include:

  • Providing advice to the governing body on governance, constitutional and procedural matters.
  • Provide effective administrative support to the governing body and its committees.
  • Manage information effectively in accordance with legal requirements
