Buxton Community School is seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated Clerk to the Governors to provide procedural, legislative and constitutional advice and guidance on all governance related matters.
As the Clerk you will be an integral part of governance arrangements at our school providing effective administrative support to the governing body and its committees, ensuring the governing body is properly constituted and managing information effectively in accordance with legal requirements. This is a rewarding and challenging role that will give you the opportunity to support governors to deliver the best outcomes for their pupils. You will administer and minute board and committee meetings, which are held in the evening, and advise on governance legislation and policy.
You will work effectively with the Chair of Governors and the Headteacher to prepare purposeful agendas which take account of the DfE and School issues and priorities.
Our ideal candidate will have experience in the administration of governance and will have a clear vision of what good governance looks like.
