We are seeking to appoint a dedicated individual to join our team as a School Business Manager following the retirement of our School Business Officer. The post is a permanent contract for 32 hours a week over a 40 week period. The role of the School Business Manager is to provide an efficient and effective financial, administrative, and clerical support service for the Head Teacher and staff of the school and also plays a crucial part in the efficient operation of the school overseeing HR alongside the running of the premises and overseeing Health and Safety. Additional knowledge of invoices and ordering are essential to the role and an understanding or awareness of the legislation around GDPR. The school will ensure training is provided for the right applicant if needed.
We have a School Business Assistant who will work closely with the School Business Manager in a supportive role, they will work on pupil data, policies, attendance, registers and will support some of the administrative roles.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced, conscientious, and self-motivated individual, who works well as a member of a team and who has experience of working in a busy school office. The role requires a good working knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Forms, Arbor etc. Excellent literacy and numeracy skills are essential. The successful candidate will have the ability to multi-task and maintain focus despite the frequent disturbances common in a school. They will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills whilst being professional and approachable.
