An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Business Services Team for a committed and flexible individual to provide efficient and effective administrative support to the Sports and Outdoor Recreation Team at White Hall Outdoor Education Centre. If you would like to support the centre to provide high quality outdoor and adventurous experiences to young people from Derbyshire, we would love to meet you.
White Hall is in a beautiful setting approximately 3 miles from Buxton. We are very proud of the service we deliver and the excellent feedback we receive.
The role is varied, fast-paced and the ability to work as part of a team and meet deadlines is essential.
What will I be doing:
- Working from site providing welcoming and friendly reception services to visitors, including internal/external professionals and families.
- Managing telephone calls from members of the public, professionals, and internal/external colleagues.
- Aid the successful planning and running of courses and bookings for the Centre.
- Dealing with incoming post and monitoring generic inboxes ensuring incoming emails are dealt with in a timely manner.
- Inputting and retrieving data from the Centre’s information management system.
- Compiling basic statistics.
- Creating documents and paperwork as required.
- Maintaining and filing records.
- Other administrative tasks as needed.

Skills and experience we are looking for:
- Excellent IT skills, which includes the use of Microsoft packages.
- An ability to work as part of a team undertaking a wide range of general administrative tasks.
- Experience of working in a busy office environment.
- Excellent communication
- Excellent customer service
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proven literacy and numeracy
- Good organisational
- An ability to prioritise and work to deadlines.
- An ability to work within organisational policies and procedures.
- An understanding of confidentiality, GDPR and Data Protection.
- NVQ Level 2 qualification or relevant office experience.
- Enthusiasm, flexibility, and transferable skills.
