Exciting opportunities have arisen within the Business Services Team for committed and flexible individuals to provide efficient and effective administrative support to the teams listed below.

Post 1- Disabled Children’s Service, Polygon Centre, Alfreton 

18 hours and 30 minutes per week, £10,406.04 per annum  

The working pattern for this post is (3 days) Wednesday (half day), Thursday and Friday (full days).  

This post is part of a small, busy team of Business Services Assistants, carrying out a variety of administrative duties, supporting operational staff in the Disabled Children’s Service social care teams.  

What will I be doing: 

  • Dealing with all incoming calls to the Service and actioning in a professional, quick and efficient manner
  • Management of all incoming and outgoing post accordingly
  • Sending out reports as directed by the Team Coordinator
  • Providing petty cash as and when required and regular checks of petty cash ensuring all paperwork is provided
  • Overseeing the IT Inventory and alerting your line manager when additional IT equipment is required

Posts 2 & 3 Amber Valley Early Help & Safeguarding Team, Godkin House, Ripley 

These posts are part of a larger, busy team of Business Services Assistants, focusing on administrative duties, supporting operational staff in the Amber Valley social care teams. 

Post 2 - 29 hours 36 minutes per week (4 days) – the working pattern is Tuesday to Friday, £16,649.64 per annum 

What will I be doing: 

  • Providing petty cash as and when required and regular checks of petty cash ensuring all paperwork is provided
  • Actioning invoices and creating purchase orders, using a bespoke finance system.  Ordering of items as requested ensuring the correct paperwork is in place and adhering to financial regulations.
  • Dealing with incoming calls to the Service and actioning in a professional, quick and efficient manner
  • Providing general admin support as part of a team of Business Services Assistants. 

Post 3 – 37 hours per week, £20,812 per annum

  • Management of all incoming and outgoing post accordingly
  • Providing general admin support as part of a team of Business Services Assistants.

Skills and Experience we are looking for: 

  • Excellent IT skills, which includes the use of Microsoft packages.
  • An ability to work as part of a team undertaking a wide range of general administrative tasks.
  • Experience of working in a busy office environment.

  • An ability to work within organisational policies and procedures.

  • NVQ Level 2 qualification or relevant office experience.
