Odyssey Collaborative Trust are looking to appoint a School Business Manager to work four or five days a week across two schools within the Trust or to work with one school for two or three days a week.  The Trust is locally focused and proactive, with its 7 schools all in the primary age range. The schools are located close to each other to the north and East of the city of Derby. The main functions of the role are:

  • Helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the schools in the Trust, so that headteacher’s primary focus is the education of pupils in their care.
  • Help the Trust to achieve its vision.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of staff, children and young people.
  • To provide strategic business management support to schools within the Trust in the key areas of finance, HR, IT, Health & Safety, Premises and Facilities Management and GDPR.
  • To be responsible for ensuring that the business management function operates in accordance with statutory regulations and that high levels of customer service are provided.
