Dronfield Henry Fanshawe School is a successful, oversubscribed school with 1809 students on roll including 297 in the Sixth Form. It is situated close to the centres of Sheffield and Chesterfield on the edge of the Peak District National Park. The Governors are seeking to appoint a Clerical Assistant to maintain, review and update the School’s website to provide a vibrant, engaging and informative on-line presence.
You will be responsible for the accurate and timely updating of information on our website and the ability to communicate effectively is essential as you will be required to liaise with staff and students to identify opportunities for engaging website, social media and marketing materials and content. Previous experience of working in a school environment is advantageous but not essential.
In addition, the successful candidate will:
- provide clerical and administrative support to teams and faculties across school in the form of word processing/typing of documents and general correspondence etc.
- undertake other general office duties to include maintaining student records, filing, archiving, photocopying, and distribution of internal and external mail
- assist with the production of major school documents (brochures, reports, Year Book)
- assist with the provision of resources for special events, such as KS Evenings, Open Evenings etc
- provide Reception cover as and when required including answering the phone, taking messages, greeting visitors.
- liaise with staff and respond to enquiries on matters within the post holder’s responsibility
