A vacancy has arisen for a professional, efficient and person friendly individual to cover the above posts. Our busy school office is the hub of our school and so it is vital that you have excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, the ability to prioritise workloads, work to deadlines, show attention to detail and an understanding of confidentiality.
The Business Assistant will carry out the day to day financial management of the school including banking, payroll, data entry and analysis, handling monies, invoice processing, stock checks, updating the school website and dealing with a range of visitors and telephone enquiries.
As Clerk to Governors, the successful candidate will be accountable to the Governing Body, working effectively with the Chair and Headteacher to organise Governors’ meetings; including the circulation of agendas and other papers, taking clear notes of meetings and maintaining the necessary records. This will involve some work in the evenings, as the meetings are after school. You will also be responsible for advising the Governing Body on Constitutional matters, duties and powers and will work within the broad current legislative framework. You will secure the continuity of Governing Body business and observe confidentiality requirements.
Applicants must have proven literacy and numeracy skills and be highly proficient in using a range of IT systems and packages. A working knowledge of the SAP financial System will be beneficial.
You should be able to work efficiently as part of a team and show willingness to adopt a flexible approach to the work undertaken.
