An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Policy and Research Team for two dynamic and committed individuals to support the council’s research and information function as Policy and Research Analysts.

In this role, you will provide the Council with robust evidence and analysis, working well as a team member or an individual across all levels and departments. Experienced in data analysis and interpretation, you will have the ability to provide high quality information and reports to support the Council’s management of intelligence and insight and to inform strategic decision making in order to improve the Council’s understanding of the impact it is making in local communities.

You must be an enthusiastic, versatile and self-motivated individual who will support on a variety of research, policy and performance projects. You will be gathering, analysing, mapping, profiling and interpreting data using a variety of IT systems and packages. You will have the ability to prioritise a diverse workload, performing well under tight deadlines and be able to provide information and support to Elected Members and senior managers.

Educated to HND or equivalent in a numerate discipline, or have extensive experience in a relevant field, you will have knowledge of legislation and current initiatives affecting local government. You must also display a high level of tact, diplomacy, drive and enthusiasm, with excellent IT, communication and report writing skills.
